I shot this gator using the Muzzy Gator Getter kit. This is my 2nd gator both measuring 11" 6" killed with this setup. This gator weighed over 600lbs. It took over 5 hours to get the gator in the boat. I recently purchased the Muzzy Gator Getter strobe due to lessons learned from our last hunt. The strobe is a must have to track gators. The lake had many logs causing the buoy to stay under water. We had to wait him out. Once the bouy popped up we were on the chase again. He submerged a total of 5 time and the buoy disappeared each time. We thought we had lost him sevaral time but the 25' of Muzzy 600 lbs cord stayed strong. We finally set another # 12 hook in him and pulled him to the surface. It took 6 shots with 357 mag to subdue the first gator. With 5 shots bouncing off the head. We use a 44 mag. bang stick to kill the most recent one. My gator hunting buddy Tommy Sorrow just used my Gator Getter Kit and we killed a 10' gator. He will be submitting his story as well.
