My dad and I had spent the day packing out the head and cape of the bull that he had killed the day before. We arrived back at our fly camp just after dark to find that while we were away my brother had been busy! Not one to wait around in camp, he went out and made things happen. This bull began bugling to his calls and before he knew it, antler tips were coming through the timber. Steve told us the bull came right in to 20 yards and presented a slightly quartering to him shot. He took it, sending his arrow into the bull tight against the shoulder. The bull ran 20 yards, then stopped to his cow call. He fell dead right there as Steve was reaching for another arrow. Unbelievable, and all on his own! This was the final of 3 mature bulls killed, all with Muzzy broadheads and Zero Effect rests.
We, as a father and two sons team, have completed the hunt of our lifetimes! Thank you Lord for such a gift!
