USA – Brimley, MI
I took this buck at first light in southern MI on November 2, 2011. I was using my TenPoint Stealth XLT crossbow for the first time ever. Ironically, I got my first-ever "Ten Point" buck as well. I had tipped my bolts with Muzzy 3-blade, 100 grain heads, ignoring TenPoint's "suggestion" to use NAP Spitfire mechanicals. The shot was a quartering-to angle, from above, at 16 yards. I am so glad I used my tried-and-true Muzzy head over a not-always-reliable mechanical head. Later that same day, I took a really nice 8-point (my best one ever) with the same crossbow/bolt/head combo. This time, I got a complete pass-through (high shoulder entry to low shoulder exit). Both bucks bled like mad. Muzzy broadheads came through for me once again in 2011!
