My thirteen year old son, Trey, got his first and second deer with his bow this year. On Jan 6, 2010, Trey harvested a buck and a doe in the same afternoon.
He was hunting out of a lock on that we just put up a few days earlier, that was on a major trail leading into some of our winter grazing. A nice 8 point came down the trail and stopped at the fence, between the pines and the ryegrass, presenting a clear 20 yard shot. As he shot, the deer started under the fence and the arrow hit back farther than you would like. The buck made a circle out in the pasture and then ran back into the pines. He went about 40 yards into the pines and then expired.
Just a few minutes later a doe came down the trail and presented Trey with a 5 yard shot and he dropped her.
Trey was shooting 75 grain 3 blade Muzzy broadheads on Carbon Express Arrows. His bow is the Redhead "Kronic".
It was a true "Muzzy Moment" for Trey, not to mention for his Dad!!!!
Thanks for a great product. We look forward to many more "Muzzy Moments" in the field.
Thanks,
