I left work early one evening hoping to get to the stand with some time to kill a doe. I had been in the stand about an hour when a sow walked out. She walked around me eating pecans for about an hour, when all of the sudden she spooks and starts looking to the north. I grabbed my binocs and began glassing to see what she was looking at. Across the orchard came about 30 hogs, then i notice that around 30 more came running in form the east. I began to prepare to make a shot on a hog since i was almost out of shooting time for a doe. One group of hogs began gathering around my stand then all of a sudden turned and trotted off. I knew that if i was going to have a decent shot i would have to go into spot and stalk mode. I climbed out of the stand and began to sneak up on a group of 30, just as i got into bow range a sow turned to give me a quartering away shot. I pulled back to full draw aimed just behind her left shoulder and let it fly, i hit just where i had aimed. The 100 grain Muzzy 3 blade pierced her side and came out the right side of her neck, severing her jugular. She ran 30 yards fell to the ground and never moved an inch. Best experience with a bow so far, and I believe its all because Muzzy did its job. Thanks for the opportunity to share my experience! The sow weighed around 150 pounds and was shot at 35 yards. PSE bow 65 pound draw.
