I was slipping down a road, heard some birds raising hell
and leaves and branches cracking in the thick brush, first thought was
hogs. I stood still loking into the brush and saw this cat slowly
creaping along a trail in the brush. I was about thirty yards from
the cat with a slight wind in my face. The cat took a few steps,
stoped, looked around and then sat down. It looked away from me and
thats when I went to full draw, she turned and looked right at me but
I did not feel good with the shot through all the thick brush, she
stood up, took few more steps behind a big brush pile but I knew the
trail she was on was going to come out to the road. I stayed at full
draw, thats why I love this bow, It seemed like forever before she
stepped out into the open, 15 yards away, she scaned the opening and
the road in front of her. As her head and eyes turned my way and she
saw me standing there at full draw it was too late, my VAP arrow,
tipped with a Muzzy four blade was screaming her way at 275 feet per
second. I watched the arrow vanish in the fur as she jumped six feet
strait up, hit the ground running into the brush, jumped one more time
and that was all she had in her, down not ten yards away from the
shot!
