After spotting this Columbia Blacktail buck about 100 yards away, I began my stalk. I spent the next 45 minutes closing in on it as it fed away from me first through a thick stand of trees then out on the edge of a pond. Pretty soon I was knee deep in the water and it was on an island in the middle of the pond. By taking it slow and steady I was able to close the distance to 20 yards without the deer knowing I was there. I could see it's antlers but its body was obscured in the grass. Finally it gave me a clear shot and I loosed my arrow tipped by a 90 grain 4-Blade Muzzy broadhead. The broadhead shattered the right shoulder, went through both lungs, punched through the left shoulder and came to rest under the skin on the left side. The deer dropped on the spot and quickly expired. When I dug the broadhead out there was almost no damage to it. All I need to do is put new blades on it and it will be ready to take down another deer. Thank you Muzzy for making a quality broadhead at a great price!
