Muzzy Meat Balls with Special Musacchia Meat Sauce
Meatballs
2 lbs Burger (Elk, deer, antelope)
1 tablespoon chopped fresh garlic
2 eggs
½ cup breadcrumbs
½ cup grated cheese
½ cup chopped Italian Parsley
1 tablespoon Janes Crazy Salt
½ cup chopped onions
Mix all of above together and make ice cream scoop sized meatballs (approx 24)
Musacchia Meat Sauce
½ cup olive oil
6-10 sweet Italian sausage
4 large 28 oz cans crushed tomatoes
1 cup chopped onions
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon sugar
Heat on low heat tomatoes in large sauce pot, add sugar and Salt and Pepper
In a large frying pan brown sausage and meatballs in Olive oil. No need to cook all the way through just brown outside and add to the pot with the crushed tomatoes as they are browned. When you are done browning the sausage and the meatballs, add 1 cup chopped onions to the frying pan and sauté until translucent. Add to tomato mixture, adjust any seasoning (salt and pepper) cook on low for 2 hours or until done.
